Project Summary

A set of workshops shall be organized, whereby the concept of Service Learning (SL) shall be conveyed to tackle problems relating to:

1. raising awareness of and correct stereotypes about Persons with Disabilities (PwDs), and
2. enabling, promoting and guaranteeing equal rights of PwDs in line with the UN Convention on the rights of PwDs (Art.24&9).

Educators and students are primarily target groups, however, the SL case-studies will impact the wider community. The project team is made up of 23 alumni, mostly a mix of Junior Faculty Development Program (JFDP) and Fulbright alumni from Macedonia and Croatia, and is supported by the Macedonian American Alumni Association (MAAA).
